Salt Lake City, also called SLC. It is characterized by its beautiful mountains. It is the capital of Utah and it is the entry point for world class ski resorts. It has the total area of 282.5 kilometer square. According to 2012 census the city holds around 181,000 people.
You can reach SLC by plane, car or bus. There are two airports in SLC, Salt Lake City International Airport which is a major airport in the region. There is another smaller airport in Western Jordan region which is mainly for small private and cargo flights.
There are around 9 world class resorts and 11 National Parks. The place is always filled with adventurers, snowboard lovers.
The Historic Temple Square is one of the major tourist attractions in the region. You can easily take transportation to more than 20 attractions. Some of which are Salt Lake Temple, South Visitors Center, North visitors Center, Assembly Hall, Salt Lake Tabernacle, Family History Library, Museum of Church History and Art, Brigham Young Historic Park, Lion House and many more.
Utah has been branded with the “Greatest Snow on Earth”, which brings skiers and snowboarders from around the globe. Alta, Snowbird, Brighton and solitude are four resorts that offer 500 inches of ice for skiing and snowboarding.
The Utah State Capitol building has been remodeled and is now open for the public.
The Great Salt Lake is an excellent place for swimmers, bikers and hikers from across the globe.
The Utah Jazz Basketball Club has produced many excellent players in the NBA. You will also find a selection of theaters for performing arts.
