Brazil – The Geography

Brazil is spread with over 7,000 miles of coastline and it is accompanied by some of the world’s stunning tropical beaches. Beaches on Brazil offer year round sunshine, white and soft sand. In fact the culture of thong Bikini or exotic “tanga” started in 1960’s on the beaches of Brazil.

Beaches of Rio de Janeiro

Copacabana is one of the popular beaches of Rio de Janeiro which is famous around the world. Rio de Janeiro is known as the “jewel in the crown” of the Brazilian beaches. It has plenty of white sand beaches and one can enjoy and have fun at affordable rates. The common sight at the beach is the foot volleyball, known as “futevole”. Also, you can come and enjoy water sports and party all night long. The beach at Ipanema is the one where you can see the beauties flaunting their bodies. The beach has soft white sand and blue waters which is perfect for swimming.

Here lies the upper class trendy resort which is situated on the peninsula, with beaches on all the three sides. The streets of Buzios are lined up with chic boutiques, bars, restaurants and pousadas. Most popular beach of Buzios is Praia Joao Fernando. Buzios is a peaceful place and indeed a heaven for international tourists.

Beaches of Fernando de Noronha

It has become a popular ecotourism destination for tourists in recent years. Its maximum part of island has been assigned as a marine national park and has many beaches where you can spot whales, dolphins and various other species of exotic birds. Many companies offer scuba diving here, which is the known adventure sport. Fortaleza is a close by city with around 2 million populations and has several beaches where you can have beach parties and watch the sunset.

Beaches of ILha do Mel

It is the honey island, located off the coast of the state of Parana in the south of Brazil. It is island free from cars and a perfect place to escape from pollution.

Beaches North of Salvador

You can have a watch to the scenic beauty around and it is the region of: sand dunes, mangroves, coconut palms, rivers and lagoons.  It has around hundreds of beautiful white sand beaches and coastal communities are famous for rustic fishing villages to upscale resorts of Forte and Praia.

Beaches South of Salvador

If you travel to the South of Brazilian coast you will experience the unique Bahian culture. It has quiet fishing villages, lively beach towns, rocky coasts, tropical forest hillsides and pristine beaches.

Beaches of Salvador de Bahia

This is located in the state of Bahia. The beaches of Bahia have been an inspiration to international artists and many displays, people sell their merchandise on the beachside. Its beaches are famous for nightclubs and local food restaurants.
