People

Malaysia is a country having multiple cultures; you can find Indians, Malays, Chinese & numerous others. More than 50% of the population belongs to Malays, who practice Islam & speak Malay language. They converted to Islam from Hinduism & Buddhism when Sultan of Melaka embraced in the early 14th century.

They are the people with good mannerism. The second largest population belongs to Chinese Malays which is almost 25% of total population. The Chinese living in the north part of Malaysia mainly speak Cantonese & Hokkien which, i.e., Penang.

Mandarin is spoken in the southern states of Malaysia. Around 10% of the population belongs to the Indians which constitutes of Sikhism, Tamilians & Hinduism.

Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of Malaysia & has best suited places to visit. The major attractions are Suria KLCC, Batu Caves, Orang Asli Museum, Genting Highlands, Sunway Pyramid, Ten Animal Kingdom and more.

Batu Caves is a Hindu Shrine Temple where millions of devotees & visitors come here to worship Lord Muruga. There are around 272 odd steps which one needs to climb to get into the temple? The best part of Batu Caves is kavadi carriers which are the great cages of spikes & are decorated with pictures of deities & flowers & also, the peacock feathers.

Genting Highland is a modern hill station & is a known as the Asian Disneyland. The place has a casino, theme park, various food joints & restaurants. People go there to enjoy, try their luck and gamble at the casino. The place is located at 200m above sea level.

Suria KLCC has the tallest twin towers in the world & has 88 storeys. It is one of the best shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur & you will find everything and anything you want.

Penang & Langkawi

Penang is the oldest of the British colonial settlements in Malaysia. Its main centre, Georgetown attracts many visitors & customers all over the world during whole year. It has many impressive temples, mosques & old Chinese shops & houses. Other attractions are beaches of the northern coast & Penang Hill.

Langkawi is a heaven on earth. You can come and have awesome views of beaches around. It has around 99 islands in total when the tides are high, and if the tides are low the number increases to 104. There is a long eagle statue located in Langkawi & it is a place where one can come and relax. Major attractions at Langkawi are the famous Mangroove tour, Pulau Payar Marine Park, Pantai Cenang, duty-free shops & more.

Mangroove tour has a lot to offer. It is a place where you can have a special boat of your own and explore the trees in water. You can do fish feeding, watch mangrove monkeys, watch bats in caves, watch eagles & even drive a boat if you are lucky enough.

Most of the beaches are present in Pantai Cenang & various duty-free shops. You can have your stay in accommodation built in Malay timber houses. Pulau Payar offers barbecue pits, picnic tables, gazebos & many other activities to perform.
